Follow the snow-covered Forest Service road four miles to arrive at Trujillo Meadows Yurt, with open runs right out the front door, steep north-facing trees, and longer loop tour options.
The Trujillo Meadows Yurt resides at 10,400' on the north facing slope above the Los Pinos River, a couple of miles upstream of Trujillo Meadows Reservoir. It is an easy 4-mile tour to the yurt along snow covered forest service roads. There are gentle open slopes out the front door of the yurt perfect for beginning and intermediate telemarkers. Advanced skiers will have fun looking for shots on the extensive north facing tree slopes. A full day loop is possible up to the Flat Mountain ridge and back via the Los Pinos Creek. Extended touring up theLos Pinos drainage gets to waterfalls.
