Sheepshead Cabin (11,968')

Sheepshead Cabin is a remote, snowmobile-accessed cabin in the Rio Grande National Forest – foot travel is limited, and strong skills and abilities with snowmachines and avalanche terrain are required.

Overview

Though this cabin is 10 miles southeast of Wolf Creek Ski Area as the crow flies, it's 20 miles by road for the majority of the year. Once plowing is complete come March - May , the approach can shorten to within 3 miles.
